Growing up can be exciting but daunting. My interactive workshops empower young people to find their natural resilience, creativity and confidence.

Unearth mental health superpowers

From wearing ‘mood goggles’ to stirring up bottles of ’emotion glitter’, Mind Garden York educates through having fun. Games, crafting and role-play reveal the inside-out nature of how the mind works, how our thoughts shape our experience of life.

How Life Works

Spotlight on thought / feeling connection. Recognising the fleeting nature of our thoughts and feelings. Identifying why we sometimes feel disconnected from our wellbeing.

Creativity

Discovering that at every single moment we can access fresh thoughts and ideas. These are always available to help us find a solution and navigate the bumps in the road.

Relationships

Understanding how our experience of life is created allows us to have healthier relationships with ourselves and others. We can approach situations with more empathy and kindness.

A harvest of resilience and mental health

Children gain a bucketload of emotional wellbeing strategies to guide them through life. Mind Garden York offers tailored classroom workshop series, pre-teen online sessions, private one-to-ones and more.

Who I help

As a trained mental wellbeing coach and facilitator, I have helped countless childre, school groups and families here in North Yorkshire and as far afield as the USA and South Africa.

As it’s mental health awareness week I wanted to highlight the services of Mind Garden York CIC. During lockdown Z had loads of anxiety and was not flourishing. We did a web-based  course with Mariella O’Brien and she is calmer, more regulated and flourishing. Our little ones need support too.
